With the wordpress daily-post photo challenge this week concentrating on the word Dense, I immediately thought of the dense forests of Borneo.
However my mind then wandered to a colder climate, with the natural wonder of densely packed ice fuelling my thoughts.
They are truly the most wondrous of sites close up, with thousands of years of rock and ice densely compacted to form an unstoppable force. They are the architects of the landscape, the true definition of creation, having once dominated the world over.
If you ever get the chance to visit a glacier I implore you to get up and close and personal (safely that is!).
Understand, respect and marvel at their beauty…
Lovely captures!

Oh and me when you get up and close and personal with one that’s when you see their true colour and glory.
