Wanderlust Wish list 2018

In recent weeks my Wanderlust has returned in full force.  It’s always there, bubbling under the surface, like a dormant volcano ready to erupt at any given opportunity.

In line with the recent arrival of spring here in the UK, my aching for warm sunny beaches and uncharted adventures has arisen.

Due to this, I felt it was time to indulge my Wanderlust and share my new Wanderlust Wish list for 2018. … More Wanderlust Wish list 2018

A Wandering Update

After 2 years of continuous blogging, I have found myself in a bit of a slump.

I haven’t written anything in a good 3 months, and every time I try to I just can’t seem to piece together the words.

It’s not because I have nothing to say, the exact opposite actually. We are having one of, if not the most incredible year bringing up our son. He is so inquisitive, adventurous and overall happy… it’s an absolute joy… … More A Wandering Update

Surpassing Wanderlust

I suffer from a burning desire to travel; I have ever since I moved to the USA in 2001 for University. It’s often referenced as ‘Wanderlust’, however for some of us, it’s more than that. The experience, the challenge, the feelings, all have become very integral to who I am as a person. As such I have now visited a staggering 33.3% of the world’s countries, and I have no intention in stopping. … More Surpassing Wanderlust

Thank you for the music

This morning I woke to hear of the tragic news that Chester Bennington, lead singer of the band Linkin Park had died,

A British Tradition

The UK is going through a bit of a heat wave with temperatures peaking at 34 degrees centigrade. I know for some of you around the world that’s not that hot, but for us Brits it is…

And as is standard, everyone is complaining about the weather – it’s sortof a British tradition. It’s either too hot or too cold or too rainy, too cloudy, too bright – I think you get the picture.  … More A British Tradition

United we stand

I know it’s a naive question but sometimes we wonder – why can’t we all get along?

There is so much hatred, greed, envy and intolerance in the world, it sometimes feels as if we are doomed to fail as a species.

Then we look back at our Wandering Memories, where we shared adventures with a host of strangers, from all types of backgrounds, cultures and religions. … More United we stand

Essential Australia – Sydney

Continuing on the Essential Australia Series we move onto the city I personally have had the privilege of calling home on numerous occasions, Sydney.

As Australia’s most iconic city, Sydney’s reputation is well established and very well deserved. There are a huge amount of highlights and essential experiences offered available to even the newest traveller, and it is this, alongside a quasi-idyllic lifestyle that Sydney one of the Wanderlust capitals of the travelling community. … More Essential Australia – Sydney
