For all of you who have been following A Wandering Memory for a while now will know that our 2015 wasn’t great.
However 2016 has been a sensational year thus far…

To our dismay, when we lived in Australia for 12 months we never got to experience Cape Range National Park. The reason for this was that it is situated halfway between Perth and Broome on the Western Coast of Australia (1,000 km from either). It is literally in the middle of nowhere!
We rectified this recently on a campervan tour on the Western Coast, and it was the best decision ever! Cape Range fights it out with Broome as our most essential place to visit in all of Australia… So why the high praise? … More Essential Australia – Cape Range
We always like to know a little about a place before we visit.
Between us we read blogs, reviews, guides and the occasional magazine. We also reach out for recommendations on social media or within my group of friends. Our decision on where to go is usually determined by a number of these combined. … More Lonely Planet Guidebooks
As many of you know when I was younger my only ambition was to move to America. I was intoxicated by the ‘American dream’ and somewhat blinded by it also. With this in mind I took a University course especially to live my dream which was one of the best decisions I had ever made (maybe not academically but definitely was personally). What I got was a glimpse of living abroad and I loved it. … More Working Abroad – The Options

We have been fielding questions recently about the Oz Experience bus tours that operate in Australia. As detailed in our recent tour company blog post, I used this service twice when I was a little younger, one to travel from Sydney to Cairns and the other from Sydney to Darwin via Melbourne. All tour companies have their positives and negatives, and this company has had a lot of press for being a party bus or aka ‘f**k bus’ (not my words). … More Oz Experience Bus – Revealed
As an experience junkie we always take every opportunity we can to explore new places. Recently on a trip to Croatia we stayed on the island of Brac, but soon had exhausted the island and the nearby town of Split. So we hired a car and drove to Mostar in Bosnia., it was only a couple of hours away and the drive itself was extremely pretty.
Whilst there we saw that we just a couple of hours away from the renowned city of Dubrovnik – so we took advantage and visited. … More The Pearl of the Adriatic – Dubrovnik
Hi – we haven’t met yet, but I am going to be your father.
Thats sounds so strange and so grown up – it’s actually quite a scary thing to say.
The inevitable realisation that we will soon meet has recently dawned on me, and as such I wanted to write you a few words.
You’re about to enter a family full of support and love. … More Note to our Unborn
A slightly unique photography challenge this year of It’s Not This Time of Year Without…
In the UK we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, therefore this time of year is just the start of December… What the start of December means to us is cold, rain and wind. However what could make it all worthwhile is the faint hope of elusive snow. … More It’s Not This Time of Year Without…
